Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Joy Bayles Imlay, passed away October 28, 2009 in Cedar City, Utah. She was born January 24, 1935 in Cedar City, Utah to John P. And Neita Bentley Bayles. She married Marlowe Imlay on September 25, 1954 in Parowan, Utah. Their marriage was later solomized in the St. George LDS Temple on February 22, 1964. Joy grew up in Parowan, Utah and graduated from Parowan High School. She attended BAC, now SUU.Joy was a member of the LDS Church and served in many callings in the Primary, MIA, Relief Society, and as a Ward Librarian. She especially enjoyed teaching the Primary children.
Joy was a kind and loving mother to her three daughters. She was a wonderful cook and a good seamstress. She was never harsh or unkind. She loved others and was quick to forgive. She was known for her sweet and loving disposition. We honor her example and faithfulness in enduring to the end.
She is survived by her husband; Marlowe, her daughters; Deanna (Robert) Stevens of Fillmore, Utah, Brenda (Mark) Huntsman of Fillmore, Utah, and Susan (Todd) Jones of Cedar City, Utah. Six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings. Sisters; Adele Matheson and Dorthea Johnson. Brothers; Marell Bayles, Frank Bayles, Carl Bayles and Gaylen Bayles.
