Tony Atencio - 11/30/1985

Anthony R. Atencio, 38 of 4749 S. 200 East, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 1985, in Ogden, of inguries sustained in an automobile accident.

He was born July 5, 1947, in Parkview, N.M., a son of Ed and Stella Martinez Atencio.

He graduated from high school and attended Weber State College.

He married Nancy Eaton. They were later divorced.

He married Laurie Aardema. They were later divorced.

He had resided In Weber County the past 34 years. He was employed as a jet airplane mechanic at Hill Air Force Base. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, during which he received the Good Conduct, National Defense Service, Vietnam Service, Vietnam Campaign and the Marksmen Medals.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and skier.

He belonged to the Bighorn Four wheeling Club.

Surviving are one son, Davin Atencio, Ogden; his father and stepmother, Ed and Leah Atencio, Albuquerque, N.M.; two brothers and four sisters, Lorry B. Atencio, Roy; Leroy I. Atencio, North Ogden; Mrs. Rodney (Arlene) Kennedy, South Ogden; Mrs. Clark (Stella) Smith, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Vern (Linda) Smith, Nephi; and Mrs. Joe (Cindy) Martinez, Layton.
