OGDEN- Eva Ailene Rhodes died on Friday, May 20, 2011 at Legacy House, of cause’s incident to age.She was born July 27, 1922, in Ogden, Utah a daughter of William Lee and Lillie Catherine Rhodes.
She graduated from Ogden High School in 1940 and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in May 1943, stationed at Cherry Point N.C. She returned to Salt Lake City and attended the University of Utah, graduating in 1952 with a degree in Botany and Biology.
Eva worked in the Utah State Department of Agriculture as a seed analyst. She retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1974. She then spent her time taking care of all her birds and beautiful flowers.
She is survived by nieces, nephews, and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her best friend Helen Rice, brothers, William J. Rhodes, Eugene E. Rhodes, Alvin L. (Roseanne) Rhodes, and sister Ella M. Olsen.
