JoeAnn Allen Hadley, 77, after many years of giving love and service to others, rejoined her eternal sweetheart and two of her sons on Friday, February 4, 2011.JoeAnn was born in Ogden on May 7, 1933 to Leonard Allen and Bessie Sneddon Allen. She grew up in Ogden but spent many happy days in Nevada among "the hills and the sage and the pine". She graduated from Ogden High School in 1951.
On November 9, 1951 she married one of the neighborhood gang, Robert C. Hadley. They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple. "Bob and Joe" were blessed with six children.
JoeAnn is survived by four of her children: Christie (Manuel) Legua, Robert (Laurie) Hadley Jr., Becky Child and Jana (Randy) Roberts; her siblings Ken (Arlene) Allen, Barbara Warburton and Jan (Von) Goodwin; and, with all of her children's "yours, mine and ours" families, she had 31 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren with 3 on the way. She adored all of them. She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, James Terry and Darren Allen, and one grandson, Quinton Kelly.
For many years JoeAnn worked as a Nurse's Aide. She gave loving care to numerous people when they were unable to care for themselves.
JoeAnn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in several callings, including Relief Society Secretary, Nursery Leader and Homemaking Counselor.
Some of JoeAnn's talents included cooking, baking and sewing. Scores of people received meals, homemade candy and beautiful quilts all made by her.
Besides her hobbies, JoeAnn enjoyed camping and taking trips with her family.
JoeAnn's family wishes to give a huge thank you to the staff and patients of Pleasant View Dialysis. JoeAnn loved all of you. We also thank the Love Healthcare staff for their help.
