Jake Foote - 4/14/2014

Class of 2002

Jake Jarrett Foote, 30, passed from this life on April 14, 2014 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born on September 20, 1983 to Jerry and Patty Foote. Jake was engaged to the love of his life, Alexa Wray, at the time of his death.

Jake was raised in St. George in a loving LDS family that adored his sunny smile and infectious laugh. He loved people . . . Jake's friends and family meant everything to him. As a boy, he loved riding dirt bikes and BMX bikes with his brothers and friends and spent hours practicing. He was an excellent runner, and was extremely strong, which undoubtedly contributed to his outstanding football career as running back for Pine View High.

After graduation, Jake started his own landscaping company. He was a very hard worker and had an entrepreneurial spirit, which eventually resulted in a wide array of successful business ventures. Jake's love of networking led to him becoming an avid golfer, and if there was ever a tournament for charity, Jake was in it. He also loved to work out, spending hours in the gym.

From the moment Jake met Lex, his big heart was captured and the two of them fell deeply in love. She was a very special and important part of his life. Jake enjoyed nothing more than making people happy. His family and friends loved to be around him. . . he was the life of the party. His nieces and nephews will always remember his playful teasing, and his dogs, Marley and Bruno, adored him.

We will all miss his huge heart and love of life.

Jake is survived by his parents, Jerry and Patty Foote; brothers: Casey (Amy), Brian (Heather), David (Giuliana); sister, Callie (Leon) Reber; and 9 nieces and nephews.

A "fuzzy", in this case, is a feeling or an emotion like "I miss you", "I love you", or just "thinking of you". Fuzzies can be left every day.
