Teresa Newcomb Godyn, or "Tree", 37, peacefully passed away in her sleep in Lake Stevens, WA on January 16, 2012. Tree was born in French Camp, CA, on May 21, 1974.Tree possessed a vibrant and energetic personality. She had a magical way of connecting with people and knew how to draw the best, the beautiful, the self-worth of a soul in everyone she met. She held a quick-witted humor that few can match, had a great love for music and took joy in singing, often with family and friends.
Tree obtained her education in the medical field, and took great pride in her photography, where she possessed an extraordinary ability of capturing many precious life events and boosting women's confidences. Her sudden passing is a great loss to her family, friends and community. "Some people come into our lives and quickly go, some stay for a while, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never the same."

Tree is survived by her husband, Stan; children, Avery, Zayne, Travler and Sasha; parents, Dwight Newcomb and Sunny Mosley; grandmother, Velma Patterson; siblings, Beau Woodward and Stacey Dahlberg; uncles and aunts, Lloyd Simpson, Shanna Christ, Greg Fincher, Patricia Baker; cousins, Jason Simpson, Tiffanie Simpson Iorg and Zachary Simpson; and many family members throughout Utah, Nevada, Idaho and New York.
A Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 10:00 to 3:30 p.m., at Solie Funeral Home, 3301 Colby Avenue, Everett, WA.
A Celebration Memorial will follow from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Weyerhaeuser Room in the Everett Train Station, 3201 Smith Avenue, also in Everett.
Teresa's final resting place occurs on Saturday, February 4, 2012 in St. George, Utah, with a memorial luncheon to follow.
