Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend joined our Heavenly Father on February 2, 2011 after a courageous, eleven year battle with cancer. Troy Scott Sullivan, age 42 was born January 10, 1969 in St. George, Utah to Lamar and Karen Sullivan. He was raised in Leeds, Utah and later returned to raise his own family there.

Troy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At age 12, Troy became an Eagle Scout, making him the youngest Scout to achieve this honor in the Leeds Ward at that time. He later served a LDS mission in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Troy was an ambitious and dedicated man who lived his life to the fullest. He loved his family a great deal and enjoyed being with them and attending family gatherings. He had a tremendous belief in service toward his fellow man and was always thinking of others. Troy was a very hard worker, even when he was in pain or did not feel well; he still put in a full day’s work. Troy was well known for his sense of humor and his ability to make anyone smile. He had a love for the outdoors including fishing, camping, and especially Boy Scouting. Troy found a significant amount of joy serving as Scout Master and loved the boys in his Troop1757 very much. He has received many awards for his hard work and diligence in Scouting.

Troy, like his father, also had a love for woodwork and made many beautiful things.
He is survived by wife, Leila Ann Sullivan, daughters Shelbi and Makiah Sullivan of Leeds, Utah; parents, Karen Sullivan of Leeds and Lamar (Carol) Sullivan of Kanab; brothers Lonnie (Janice) Sullivan of St. George, and John (Julie) Sullivan also of Washington. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Bert and Maida Sullivan and Arlo and Georgiana Holyoak, and his brother David Layne Sullivan.

The Sullivan family would like to thank IHC hospice and all of the loving and caring individuals that helped care for Troy and would also like to thank all of the people that donated in various ways. Your overwhelming generosity and thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 11am at the Leeds Ward Chapel. Friends may call for visitation, Monday evening February 7, from 5 to 7pm at the Spilsbury Mortuary 110 S. Bluff St. and again Tuesday morning at the chapel in Leeds from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Burial will be in the Silver Reef Cemeter
