Dorothy Blake Bowler Rodoni - 5/18/2011
Class of 1946
Dorothy Blake Bowler Rodoni passed away peacefully and was welcomed by Heavenly Father to her eternal home on May 18, 2011. She was born on August 16, 1928 to Milo and Mary Alena Fowler Blake in St. George, Utah. Dorothy married Milton Dean Bowler in Las Vegas, NV, later solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. Dean preceded her in death. She married Carl Rodoni and spent her remaining years living in California. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved being a Sunday School Teacher and especially loved the children. She was an active owner of Rite Auto Body Shop in Rio Linda, CA for 50 years.
She will be not only be sorely missed and mourned but will be forever in the hearts of those that knew and loved her. Her laugh was genuine and warm, her smile lit up the room. She particularly loved babies and marveled at their beauty. She loved showing off her own babies (grandchildren and great-grandchildren). Her home was a dedication to that love with pictures in every room and on every wall.
She was the catalyst that drew our family together. The hostess for every Holiday party, these events were never the same without a family get together hosted by her and Carl. Her unwavering love and devotion to her family was felt by us all.
She is survived by her loving husband Carl Rodoni; 4 children, 10 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Thelma Oswald of NY, Duane (Darlene) Blake and Betty (Wes) Sullivan both of St. George, UT, and Wanda Lucas of Rio Linda, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, and her sister, Beulah Tobler.
