ST. GEORGE - Robert Clark Bacon, age 57, passed away Friday, October 28, 2005, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born September 3, 1948, in Cedar City, Utah, a son of Robert J. and Oma Parkinson Bacon. He married CloAnn Scott, and to this union were born three sons. They later divorced.Born in Cedar City, Bob was raised in Hurricane, Utah, and graduated from Hurricane High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and made the military his career. He served throughout the world, and saw combat in Desert Storm and Desert Shield. He retired in 1992, and settled in St. George, Utah.
Bob loved fishing, hunting, camping, and most anything out-of-doors. He enjoyed all sports, and was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos. Bob was a gentle and hardworking man. He was a loving father and grandfather and was very proud of his grandchildren.
Surviving family include his: three children, Joshua Clark Bacon, of St. George, Nicholas Scott (Malea) Bacon, of Layton, UT, and Chauncey Duane Bacon, of St. George; two grandchildren; mother, Oma Larson, of St. George; three sisters, Barbara (Gary) Redmond, of Hurricane, UT, Helen Adams, of Riverside, CA, and Anna Mae (Clint) Nielson, of Kanab, UT; and one brother, Keith (Lori) Bacon, of Santa Clara, UT.
