Stanley Ray Harris, age 70, died March 16, 1994 of a sudden heart attack.Born January 3, 1924 in Lindon, Utah to Stanley Brier and Rozilla Jane Wadley Harris. Married Shirley Marchbanks on May 7, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served in World War II for 2 1/2 years and fought in the Battle of the Bulge. Former president of Hiland Credit Union for seven years and currently on Hiland Board of Directors. Active member of the LDS Church, serving in bishopric and temple worker for the past six years. He loved his children and grandchildren and he enjoyed beautifying his yard.
Survived by wife, and his children, Connie and Ray Bert Hansen, Elberta, Utah; Pat and Lawrence Healy, Martee and Steve Panson, all Murray; Cindy and Randy Richins, Franktown, Colorado; Jeff and Jana Harris, West Jordan; 25 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brother, Wilford Harris, Springville; preceded in death by a grandson, Greg Hansen.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 21, 1994 at 11 a.m. at the Little Cottonwood 6th Ward, 6410 So. 725 East. Friends may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State and Monday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment: Orem City Cemetery.
