Eva Mary Walker Hardman passed away June 24, 2013 at the age of 92. Eva was born March 30, 1921 in Lindon, Utah to Henry Murvel and Beatrice Bjork Walker. She attended schools in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. She married Wilford Raymond Hardman October 22, 1941 in the Salt Lake Temple, and Lehi became her home.Eva was best known for her constant smile and her happy, positive attitude. She loved family gatherings at the farm, visiting with her sisters and sisters-in-law, and her pioneer heritage. She and Raymond were known as two of the best dancers in the area. She sang in the ward choir but her favorite calling was the many years spent serving in the Primary. She was a devoted wife and mother, and after years of cooking three meals a day, enjoyed eating out.
Eva is survived by her three children, Gary (Bonnie), Paul (Lora), and Lisa all of Lehi; two siblings, Don (Carole) Walker of St. George, and Janice (Bob) Bolton of Mesa, Arizona; sister-in-law Edith Walker of American Fork; eight grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Jewel Vogel, brothers Bernard Walker and Lynn Walker and grandson Gary Ray Hardman. Eva was able to stay in her home until her death thanks to the efforts of many caregivers.
Services will be held Thursday, June 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah. Family and friends may call Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the mortuary and one hour prior to service on Thursday morning. Interment, Lehi City Cemetery.
