Ina Claire Hayes Carter(February 24, 1921 - January 9, 2013)
Ina Claire Hayes Carter, 91, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 in Elko, Nevada.
She was born February 24, 1921 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Isaac Rosendo and Araminta Elizabeth Lee Hayes. She was raised and educated in Pleasant Grove, graduating from high school and attending college.
On August 25, 1940, Ina married Wesley Ray Carter in Pleasant Grove.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Ogden 35th Ward.
Ina worked as an accountant for Utah Packers and for the Ogden Golf and Country Club. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and Daughters of the American Revolution.
She enjoyed genealogy research, china painting, oil painting and making porcelain dolls. She taught the art of beading.
Ina is survived four daughters, Cathie Anne (Reese) Bastian, Sheila Jean (John) Dumbauld, Ina Claire Murdo, Denice Rae (Fred) Skrepcinski; ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother, Lee Hayes and one sister, Helen Nielsen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 17th at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends Thursday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist's Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Road.
