Stanley Dean Bezzant, 81, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from cause's incident to age. He was born January 5, 1930 to Albert and Ruth Adams Bezzant. He was the sixth of seven children and grew up on the family farm in Pleasant Grove where he learned the value of hard work. Dean attended Brigham Young University and upon graduation in 1952 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was enrolled in officer candidate school. He served for three years during the Korean War as Lieutenant JG. After his service in the navy he returned to Pleasant Grove and was married to Reva Kovick of Heber City on September 20, 1956. They enjoyed 46 years together. Dean worked for 35 years at Geneva Steel as a chemist in the nitrogen plant. He was an avid tennis player, loved golf and enjoyed spending time in the outdoors fishing and hunting. Dean always grew a beautiful garden and his fruit and vegetables were enjoyed by many friends and neighbors.Dean is survived by three children; Peggy (Bob) Larsen of San Jose, CA; Brenda (Tom) McNeil and Barry Bezzant of Pleasant Grove; sister, Ranae Lewis, Lehi. He was preceded in death by his wife Reva; daughter RaNae; sisters, Evelyn Schoonover, Theda Evans, Leah Bullock and brothers Harold and Mark.
