Pam Harris Mickelson, age 50, of Lindon, died September 2, 2004, at the Timpanogos Hospital in Orem. She was born October 9, 1953 in American Fork, Utah to Kenneth Ernest and Jody Leyshon Harris . She married John E. Mickelson on November 19, 1999 in Kona Coast, Hawaii.
Pam had lived in the same home in Lindon for 50 years. She attended schools in Pleasant Grove, and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. She was active in sports as a young woman, and played on the Timps basketball team. She loved to ride horses. She enjoyed working in her garden with her husband John, and especially enjoyed the plants and flowers that they grew. One of her favorite things was the time she spent riding Harleys with her husband, and the many trips they took together.
She received great satisfaction from her job working with troubled teens, which she had done for the last 15 years. She was a friend to everyone, and was loved by all.
Pam never got over the loss of her sister Shaunee, whom she now joins.
Pam is survived by her husband John of Lindon; her son, Kenneth Harris Nelson; three step-daughters, Andrea J., Jamie M., and Jessica A. Mickelson; three grandchildren, Tiffani, Jessika, and Abigail; her mother, Jody L. Harris ; one brother and one sister, Larry Harris and Dorothy Sisam., and by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, and by three sisters Shaunee Harris , Ramona Lystrup, Rita Clark, and by one brother, K R Harris , and by her grandparents, J. Baxter "Grampie" and Helen "Muzzie" Leyshon.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 6, 2004, at 2 p.m., in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel, 185 East Center Street, Provo. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment, Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
