Grant Kay Fugal - 4/10/2010

Grant Kay Fugal, 81, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2010. He was born on July 5, 1928 to Niels and Viola Young Fugal, in Pleasant Grove, Utah. He married Jeniel Judd, on January 4, 1951 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Grant "Brig" grew up in Pleasant Grove and upon graduation attended the Utah State Agricultural College. He served an LDS mission to Northern California, married his sweetheart, and served two years in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He then worked in the family business, Niels Fugal and Sons. He has given a life time of church service in many positions, including Bishop, Stake President, Patriarch and temple worker. He and Jeniel also enjoyed serving a full-time mission to Africa, working in Congo, Ivory Coast and South Africa. He was a great example of hard work, love and service.

He is survived by his wife, Jeniel, and his twelve children: Richard, Leland (Joy), Ruth, Jeanne (Brad) Holdaway, Susan (Michael) Butler, Peggy (David) Andersson, Ray (Hayley), Brigham (Debi), Karen (Jeff) Harbold, Kent (Kelly), Lila (Leo) Biggs, Donna (Ryan) Thorne; 44 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and siblings Boyd (Venice) Fugal and Joyce (Kent) Giles. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Neil, four sisters, Melba, Avis, Edna, Lucille and a daughter-in-law, Sandra Harmer Fugal.
