Michael Gary Bugden - 10/10/2011

Class of 1972

Michael Gary Bugden, 57, of Chicago, IL (long-time resident of Utah) passed away Monday, October 10, 2011 with his sweetheart beside him, after suffering a stroke.

Michael was born May 30, 1954 in Ely, Nevada to William and Ranae Bugden. He married Debbie Stark and together had five children. They were divorced. He married Carolyn Emery and had a daughter. They were later divorced. He married Lorraine Ring Greenberg on March 15, 2001 in Midvale, Utah.

Michael lived his early years in Utah, Alaska, and Nevada. His favorite place in Nevada was Tonopah where he and his family lived in the late 1960's. He moved with his family to Pleasant Grove, Utah in 1970 where he attended and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1972. After high school, Michael worked for UTA, in the printing industry, and in the tourism business. He loved learning about places to visit, especially in Utah. He had a vast knowledge of Utah and what it had to offer. Anything anyone wanted to know about Utah, Mike was always willing to share his knowledge. His greatest hobby love was model trains. He collected and studied about them along with attending model train shows. He made many friends with his hobby.

Mike and Lorraine moved to Chicago, IL shortly after they were married, which gave Mike a whole new city to explore and learn about.

Mike is survived by his wife Lorraine; children: Elizabeth, Catherine, Rachael, Rebecca, and Darlene (Sheldon) Syme; six grandchildren; Mother, Ranae Bugden; sisters, Leslie (Kim) Pead and Emma (Loren) McClaren and brother, William (Darcie) Bugden. He was preceded in death by his father, William Arthur Bugden and son, Benjamin.
