Lloyd D Boren, age 80, of Pleasant Grove passed away on July 7, 2007. He was born Feb. 14, 1927. Our loving father, husband, and brother passed away peacefully at home with his family present. After graduating from P.G. High School, Lloyd served in the Navy during World War II. Lloyd was a butcher in the Archie Boren Meat Market in Pleasant Grove. Later he was a butcher in the IGA Meat Market in Pleasant Grove. He worked at Geneva Steel for 39 years and retired as Head Roller.He married Dawna Mae Marrott June 1, 1945 in the Salt Lake Temple. He raised 6 children. He was a member of the LDS church and served actively for many years. Lloyd and Dawna served in the UT Valley Regional Family History Mission from 1996 to 1997.
Lloyd was very giving and service oriented. He loved to camp, hunt, and fish with his family. He is survived by his wife Dawna Boren; sisters, Thelma Ash and Anna Adamson; children Susan (Ed) Huhtala, Shawna (Cal) Leach, Sharlynn (Lynn) Walker, Steve (Paula) Boren, Sterling (Margaret) Boren, Stan (Joyce) Boren. He leaves behind 29 grandchildren and 60 great grandchildren.
