Jewell Paul
1923 ~ 2012

Jewell Paul passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 of cause's incident to age. She was born May 19, 1923 in Pleasant Grove, Utah to George Little and Amy Richins Paul. She married Lee Cobbley in 1942. They were later divorced. Jewell attended grade school in Magna, Utah where her parents moved in her early childhood. They moved back to Pleasant Grove where she attended high school, graduating in 1941.

Jewell loved sports and played many of them in high school and throughout her life. In 1949, she moved to California to work and lived there until she retired. She worked in accounting and became Credit Manager for a large manufacturing firm for 22 years. She then worked for a large wholesale firm in Los Angeles as Corporate Credit Manager for 17 years until retirement. She moved back to Orem, Utah in December 1992 to be near family. She loved music, bowling, playing cards, tennis, and the Utah Jazz and was a member of the LDS Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: George R. Paul and Jay Paul; sister-in-law, Ruth Paul; niece, Sharon Somers and nephews: Stephen Paul and Russell Paul.

Jewell is survived by her sister-in-law, Colleen Paul Sorensen. Jewell had no children but loved her nieces and nephews and all extended family.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may attend a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com
