Early Life: Howard was born September 26, 1930, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, to Arnold A. and Luella S. Walker. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School.
Life’s Work: On September 13, 1950, he married his high school sweetheart, Jeanne Terry. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in June 2, 1952. They celebrated 63 years of marriage before Jeanne passed away March 14, 2014. Howard worked at Geneva Steel as an iron worker for over 35 years, retiring in 1985. He was an avid golfer at Fox Hollow Golf Club in American Fork. He loved life and loved being with family. Howard was a loyal Pleasant Grove Viking. He loved to attend sporting events, enjoyed working in his yard and golfing everyday he could. He was known by many as Grandpa Howie and loved by all. Beloved father and grandfather, Howard L. Walker passed peacefully in his home on January 15, 2018. He was 87.
Survived By: His three sons: Terry (Mary) Walker, Phoenix AZ; Tom (Lyn) Walker, Port Townsend, WA, Kim (Lisa) Walker, Pleasant Grove, UT; seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Preceded In Death By: His wife; his parents; and brothers: Arlo, Lloyd, Glade and Sterling Walker.
Services: Lindon 23rd Ward Chapel
Burial: Alpine City Cemetery
