Our beloved husband, father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and brother: Dale Dorius Thomas passed away peacefully on April 3, 2011 at the Beehive Home in West Jordan, Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City on November 13, 1931 to Tal and Alta Dorius Thomas. He later grew up in Pleasant Grove Utah and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School where he served as their Student Body President and lettered in Basketball and Track. Upon returning home from his service in the Northern States Mission he married his High School Sweetheart Carol Christensen on February 24, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple. They have been sweethearts ever since. He was very active with volunteer work in the community. In their early years he volunteered evenings as an Auxiliary Policeman while living in Pleasant Grove. In doing so he provided many on-call hours, helping to provide ambulance service for the community. He was a Licensed Abstractor and retired from Provo Land Title. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings over the years. His family was his greatest joy. Dale will be sorely missed by his loving and caring sweetheart, wife, Carol of 58 years. He is also survived by his son Steven Dale Thomas (Teresa), his daughter, Denise Marie Thomas, his sisters, Mary Lee Thomas and Joyce Thomas, Grandchildren: Emilie Nixon (Marcus), Shawn Steven Thomas (Pam), and Annette Beckstrand (Joshua); Great Grandchildren: Branden Nixon, Anthony Nixon, Jackson Thomas, Hailie Beckstrand and Parker Beckstrand. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three children, Terry, Lorene and John Thomas.He will be missed by all.
