Rhea Hooley Rackman Dokos, age 90, passed away on April 18, 2010, in St. George, Utah. She was born to Lee and Thelma Jacobson Hooley on February 4, 1920, in Lindon, Utah. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School where she was a cheerleader.
In 1940 she married McCoy Hayward Rackman. He passed away in September , 1968. She then married Andrew G. Dokos in 1972. He passed away in 1978.
She worked for American Fork City for 28 years as a receptionist. She was also a guide on bus tours to Wendover for many years where she made many dear friends. She loved and cherished her family and grandchildren and was admired by all. She was a member of the American Fork LDS 6th Ward.
Rhea is survived by one son, Gary McCoy (Sharon) Rackman, 3 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren 6 great, great grandchildren; 3 brothers-Richard Hooley, Boyd J. Hooley and Douglas Hooley; 3 sisters-Lois Cummings, Melba Sadler and Gaylyn Beveridge. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and a brother.
The family extends special thanks to Willie and Lydia Folkes and Mary Cisneros for the loving, kind care of mom for the past 5 years.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. at the Anderson & Sons Mortuary Chapel 49 East 100 North, American Fork, where friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services.
