Robert Warren Slater - 9/8/2015
Class of 1950
Our beloved father was welcomed back to heaven by family and friends on September 8, 2015. He was born on January 6, 1932 to Warren and Virginia Slater in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Robert graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1950. After high school he joined the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean War. At this time he married Louise Sutton and they had one daughter, Teresa. Later they divorced. After honorably serving in the military, he moved back to Utah. He was employed by Sears and Roebuck and worked there for 25 years.He married Maria Gepkens and they had two sons, Scott and Tim. They later divorced. During his retirement years, he highlighted his time watching his grandchildren grow. He also volunteered his time as a Crossing Guard for the Magna schools. For seven years, he greeted every child with a smile.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Teri; son, Scott (Marcy); son, Tim (Shauna); brother, Ken Slater; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society in Bob’s name.
