Cheryl Seely Morgan - 2/2/2008

Class of 1971

With great sadness we announce the recent and unexpected passing our beloved wife, mother, sister and dear friend. With her husband of thirty-five years at her side, Cheryl Seely Morgan slipped from this life peacefully of heart failure at her home in Fountain Green, Utah February 2, 2008 at the age of fifty-five. Cheryl's life was a medical miracle. She lived with diabetes from the age of three and was never expected to see age sixteen.

Cheryl was born July 26th, 1953 to James Dale and Gloria Nelson Seely. She was preceded in death by her father and mother. Cheryl is survived by her husband Clyde A. Morgan, their two children Eric Morgan and his wife Shauna of Fullerton, California, Shannon Morgan Hansen now stationed in Guam with her husband Dean on military assignment and five grandchildren.

Cheryl graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and attended college at Utah State in Logan. Clyde and Cheryl were married in the Manti Temple April 20th, 1973. They raised their family in Lancaster, California where they lived for many years. While Clyde worked in the aerospace industry Cheryl taught school in the elementary grades. She served in many different callings in the LDS church. She had a strong and vibrant testimony of the gospel and her life and family reflected that. She especially loved children and they loved her. She loved family. And she loved life. Her ever present laughter and always radiant smile were contagious. Anyone who ever knew her couldn't help but realize that she was, indeed a very special spirit. She has now been taken home. And we will miss her.
