Ronald Carson died April 19 in Fairfield, Utah. He was 80 years old. Ron was born November 25, 1934, in Lehi, Utah to Elvin LeRoy Carson and Leatha LaRee Chamberlain Carson.He lived in Fairfield, Utah until he was 12 years old and his family then moved to Pleasant Grove where he graduated from high school. He served 2 years in the Army and attended Radio Institute in Salt Lake City. He worked as an electrician and for Geneva Steel. He, along with his sons, owned and operated Carson Meats in Lehi, Utah.
Ron married Lorraine Thompson on April 26, 1960, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in American Fork, Utah. He loved farming and ranching and upon retiring he moved to his farm in Fairfield, Utah and his ranch in Smoot, Wyoming where he raised sheep. He is a member of the LDS church and has a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He loved the outdoors and always had a mule or horse to ride. Ron loved life and always had a positive outlook on life.
Ronnie is survived by his wife Lorraine and two sons; Wade (Donalyn) and Francis (Suzanne) Carson, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, one brother Eugene Carson and two sisters; Linda Beck and Darlene Pace. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Gary and Darrel Carson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cedar Fort LDS Chapel, 185 East Center St. Family and friends may call Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Wing Mortuary, 118 East Main, Lehi, Utah and one hour prior to service at the church.
