North Ogden - Leah Wadley Robinson, 87, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 quietly at her home.
Leah was born in Pleasant Grove, Utah, on November 1, 1922 to Richard David and Mary Ellen Olsen Wadley. Leah was the secretary of her Senior Class in high school in Pleasant Grove and was Vice-President of her Senior Class at Utah State University in 1945. She graduated from Utah State University in 1945 with a degree in teaching. While at the University she met her sweetheart Eldon Spencer Robinson, and married him in the Salt Lake LDS Temple February 5, 1945.
Leah worked as a school teacher for 34 years in Mississippi, Colonia Dublan Mexico, Lindon, Orem, and Green Acres and North Ogden Elementary in North Ogden, UT. She fulfilled career assignments as teacher, reading specialist, Spelling Bee Coordinator, school representative, and Economics Fair Chairperson. She was also active in W.E.A., U.E.A., N.E.A., and A.E.A. retiring May 27, 1986. For many years Leah was an active member of Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Leah was active in the LDS Church were she held many positions.
Leah was preceded in death by her husband Eldon. She is survived by her sons Gary (Kathy) Robinson, Richard (Sondra) Robinson, Eldon Robinson Jr., and her daughter Kathy (Rocky) Okelberry. Also surviving are her brother Clifton Wadley; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
