Genevieve Allred Hansen

May 4, 1920 ~ April 9, 2015

Genevieve Allred Hansen, 94, passed away peacefully April 9, 2015 in American Fork, Utah of natural causes. She was born May 4, 1920 to Elvin Clark and Jennie Erva Allred in Lindon, Utah. She was the second child of four children. She was raised in Lindon, Utah and graduated from Pleasant Grove High in 1938. She had great strength, determination and independence that she demonstrated throughout her life. She married Albert Russell Hansen February 28th 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They loved spending time together and enjoyed attending their children and grandchildrens sports events. They lived in Lehi until they built a home in Lindon in 1952. She worked many years as a waitress at Parks Cafe in Orem, The Hunger Hut in American Fork, and The Fabric House in Pleasant Grove. Genevieve has been very faithful in church service with positions in MIA, Sunday School, Primary and Relief Society. She thoroughly enjoyed working in the Provo Temple for 9 years. She was a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Russell passed away October 16, 1998. She is survived by four sons, Kay (Claudette) of Lindon, Boyce ( NaDeane) of Lindon, Chris (Sharleen) of Kaysville, Clark (Nancy) of St George; 14 grandchildren and many loving great and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, son R Lynn, brothers Lawrence & Kirk and sister Colleen

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 13, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Lindon Fifth Ward Chapel, 610 West 100 South, Lindon. Family and friends may attend a viewing Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Monday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
