Zola Hooley Booth of Pleasant Grove, born October 19, 1920 passed away peacefully Sunday, April 24, 2016.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to all.

Zola was the second child of six and the only girl. Her early years were spent helping on the family farm in Lindon, with strong memories of life with her parents, brothers, cousins, and friends.

She graduated from Pleasant Grove High in 1938. She married Earl Booth in May 1940 and the couple is survived by two children, Nadine (Craig) Butterfield and Gailen Booth. She is the proud grandmother of three girls, and 6 great- grandchildren.

Zola spent her adult life in Pleasant Grove raising her family and later working at Smith’s Drug Store as a Pharmacy Technician. Upon retiring, Zola turned to community service as a way of spending her boundless energy. She was very proud of the fact that during her service, she completed 500 quilts that were donated all over the world. You could always find Zola playing cards, bingo and puzzles at the Pleasant Grove Senior Center. She was recently awarded the 25 year pin from the senior citizen center in Pleasant Grove.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove where family and friends may also attend a viewing from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
