Bryce Elroy Walker - 10/19/2014
Class of 1981
Bryce Elroy Walker, 51, of Mesa, Arizona, a long time Lindon resident passed away at his home in Arizona on Sunday, October 19, 2014 after tragically suffering a heart attack. He was born November 18, 1962 in American Fork to Ivan M. Walker and Colleen Christensen Walker. Bryce came into this life being born full of energy, spunk and personality, all qualities that he has kept and has been loved by many for his entire life. Bryce grew up in Lindon and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1981. He married Lisa Lund and together had two children: a daughter, Alecia Walker Jardine and son, Blair Bryce Walker. They were later divorced. He was a loving and devoted father who cared deeply for his children. Bryce took on a major role in his Father's family business. Walker's convenience stores were in many communities throughout the state. In the later years of the company, Bryce oversaw the expansion of fast food restaurants such as Wendy's, Taco Bell and Subway into the existing Walker's stores and worked hard to make them successful. He had a way of making work fun for everyone and truly loved all the employees and work associates. The business was sold in 2007 and Bryce moved to Arizona. He married Leslie Ann Howard on January 22, 2010. Bryce loved to travel and see the world. He also enjoyed spending time on his boat and racing around the waters of Lake Powell. He also had an undeniable and immediate bond with his two granddaughters Milan and Bellamie and seemed to light up with joy whenever he was with them. Bryce was someone that was truly full of life and knew how to live each day to its fullest. He was always the life of the party; everyone looked to Bryce for a good laugh and a great time. He is such a bright spot in our family and we will greatly miss our "Breezy". He is survived by his wife Leslie Ann Walker; mother Colleen Christensen Walker; two children: Alecia Walker (John) Jardine, Lehi; Blair Bryce Walker, Mesa, AZ; grandchildren: Milan and Bellamie Jardine; siblings: Michael (Shannon) Walker, Orem; Mark (Tami) Walker, Lindon; Deone (Dave) Lesser, Lindon and many other loving friends and family. He was preceded in death by his father Ivan M. Walker. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Lindon Central Stake Center, 56 East 600 North, Lindon. Family and friends may attend a viewing Sunday evening from 6-8 pm at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Monday one hour prior to services.
