Robert G. Adamson of Pleasant Grove, Utah, died peacefully at home July 28, 1997.He was born in Provo, Utah December 2, 1928, the fourth of Dewey and Margaret (Graham) Adamson's six children. He was raised and educated in Pleasant Grove, where he graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. Bob was always active in anything that concerned the outdoors, camping and fishing. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.Much of his early life was spent in working in the family sheep business. Most of the spring, summer, and autumn were spent in the mountains of the Straw Valley. Only the love of his family surmounted the peace and joy that Bob found in this mountain valley. There, he became an accomplished horseman, a passion that continued throughout his life.
On April 15, 1950, he married Lynne Hall. Together they had five children, Scott, Shauna, Dianne, Colby and Margo. Lynne was the love of Bob's life. He was employed by Mountain Fuel Supply for over 30 years, retiring at the age of 55. He spent the remaining years of his life enjoying his children and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife, Lynn; two sons and three daughters, R. Scott (Kathy); Shauna (Mark) Einerson, all Pleasant Grove; Dianne (Doug) Stewart, Salt Lake City; Colby L. (DaNene), American Fork; and Margo (Brian) Sullivan, Coquille, OR. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters, Jean Oler, Washington; Newell, Pleasant Grove; Geraldine Peay, Lindon; and D. Kay, St. George. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Maxine Sadlier.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary in Provo. Interment and graveside service will be at the East Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 11 a.m. Thursday.
