Verlyn L Olsen passed away peacefully the afternoon of the 17th of November 2008 from complications of Diabetes and Conjenetive Heart Failure. He was born the 17th of February 1921 to Ernest Olsen and Telitha Winters Olsen in Pleasant Grove, Utah, the 3rd of a family of 4 boys. He graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and joined the Navy at the onset of WWII, serving in all theaters of War until the war ended.He married Beth Radmall the 8th of February 1945. After the war Verlyn built their house in Pleasant Grove, where they remained their entire married life and raised their children. Dr. Lonnie (Janice) of Colorado Springs, CO; Douglas (Dorothy) of LIndon; Julia (Reed) Smoot of Provo, and Andrea (Elvin) Cramer of Las Vegas, NV. He was loved by 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. After the war, Verlyn was employed by Geneva Steel until his retirement in 1982. Verlyn always maintained a meticulously groomed yard. He loved to work in his woodshop and was very inventive in building and maintenance work.
