Shaun " Shaunee " L. Harris , 42, left us on April 15, 1999, from complications of a stroke suffered on January 19, 1999.
She was born January 6, 1957 in American Fork, Utah, a daughter of Kenneth and Jody Leyshon Harris. She attended school in Lindon and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and Seminary. For the past 18 years, she lived in Murray, Utah with her companion Craig Parsons. She went on many trips, touring Italy, Mexico, New York, and staying on the Island of Hawaii numerous times.
She was a craftsman, working with soft leather; making zoomers, bracelets, and all manor of purses, pouches, vests, necklaces, all with intricate beads and shells. She loved the beaches and water, snorkeling and scuba diving, swimming with the fishes she loved so, and while in Hawaii, she swam many times with the dolphins.
Survivors include Craig Parsons , her companion of Murray, Utah; her mother , Jody L. Harris of Ramona, CA; a sister, Pam H Nelson of Lindon; two half brothers and two half sisters, Kenneth R. Harris of Ogden, UT; Larry A. Harris of Pleasant Grove; Ramona Lystrup of Orem; Dorothy Sisam of Lindon; two Aunts, Mrs. Vivian Evans of Pleasant Grove; and Mrs. Joseph (Judy) Hamilton of Orem; grandmother, Mrs. Helen C. Leyshon of Ramona, CA; a nephew, Kenny Nelson of Provo; cousins, Randy, Bryan and Scott Cantrell of Orem; and many half cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 20, 1999, at 11 a.m., at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, 500 North State Street. Friends may call Sunday evening, at the Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, from 6-8 p.m., or Monday evening, from 6-8 p.m. at the Berg Mortuary of Orem, and also Tuesday morning, at the Berg Mortuary, one hour prior to services. Interment, Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
