Joyce Robinson White1936 ~ 2016
Joyce Robinson White, our mother, the heart of our family, was called home August 16, 2016, her body finally succumbing to the effects of cancer, but her radiant spirit rose above the trials.
Joyce was born Oct. 16, 1936 to Louis C. and May Hardman Robinson in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside, reigning as Pleasant Grove's Strawberry Days Queen. She attended Utah State University and was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. Joyce married Richard Jay White, DVM, in the Salt Lake Temple Sept. 9, 1960. Joyce devoted her life to raising five beloved children. She was selfless and never missed a moment to teach them of our Savior, life skills or the joys of the gospel.
Joyce was creative and artistic and fostering a sacred and comforting refuge in her home. She loved being in her home and doing things for her family and friends. Everyone who knew Joyce felt like she was a dear friend, she loved us all and we are better because of her.
Joyce's testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ and her Heavenly Father was unwavering. She served the way the Savior served, because she loved Him. She fought her way through many challenges and much affliction, drawing closer to the Lord through each one. Her sure knowledge of the Lord's plan allowed her to face her passing with courage.
Survived by her husband, Dr. Richard White and their children: Sharon (Dale) Williams, Dr. Clayne (April) White, Brad White, Susan (Keith) White, Rebecca (Hugh) Findlay, and 16 precious grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
