Class of 1968

John Edward Told age 63, passed away November 18, 2013 after succumbing to a lingering illness. John was born on December 16, 1949 to Morris Bill & Moya Thomas Told in Salina Utah. John's early life was lived in the rural settings of Wayne County, Utah and Unita County, Wyoming. He attended grammar and secondary Schools in Orem, Utah. After graduating from Orem High School in 1968, John attended Weber State College. He possessed many artistic abilities and was hired as a set designer in several successful Hollywood productions including: Spencer for Hire, The Love Boat, The Carol Burnett Show, and Trapper John MD and The Donny and Marie Show in addition to several movies. After residing in Agura Hills California, he relocated to Midway, Utah. It was there John began his great love of restoring Historic Masterpieces to their original appeal. These included the Historic Swiss Homes of Bonner Corners and the Lethe Tatge of Midway, Utah. John loved to collect LDS Church antiques, including Brigham Young's Territorial Chair and brought "Mormon Pine" to the forefront of early Utah Pioneer craftsmanship.
