Annabella, Utah - Justin James Carter, age 22, returned to his loving Heavenly Father on Oct. 7, 2012 where he was met with open arms by his father and brother. We look forward to our reunion as an eternal family, when our understanding is not limited, and we see through the eyes of our Savior, the intricate details of a boy and his beautiful life, filled with love, family and friends; adventures, challenges, hardships, accomplishments, memories, and precious moments; all that a full life holds.

Justin was born in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised in Annabella, Utah by his parents Amber Carter and the late Warren Carter. He graduated from Richfield high school in 2008 where he received multiple academic awards. He was on the honor roll throughout middle school and high school, as well as lettering in Speech & Debate where he was awarded state recognition and superior marks. Justin performed in numerous theatre productions and musicals, winning best supporting actor, and many other awards in high school at the state level. Justin wrote and directed multiple plays both in high school and college. Justin was an accomplished musician; he played the violin, piano and guitar as well as many other instruments. He composed several original pieces of music and performed with the multiple bands. He had a beautiful voice and was asked to perform on several occasions for many events and on local television.

Justin earned a scholarship at Southern Utah University in theatre, where he was working towards a paralegal certificate as well as Bachelors in Theatre. He was currently employed as a legal secretary at a law firm in Provo, Utah.

Justin is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints and graduated from LDS Seminary, receiving his Duty to God Award. Justin served in multiple callings in Young Men’s and was an active Home Teacher. Justin was active in Boy Scouts of America from the age of eight earning his rank as Eagle Scout. Justin was a kind and thoughtful young man, who always thought of others. He loved to visit the elderly and serve where ever he could. He was a great friend and encouraged everyone he knew to be more, to think more, and to dream.

Justin was an old soul with a bright mind, he continued to follow his passions in writing and philosophy; sharing his ideas and spending time with colleagues talking about his ideas. He was energetic about his goals and ambitions and looked forward to continuing his education and visions for the future. Justin was an entertainer and a joy to be around, from magic tricks to stunning performances all were enjoyed and talked of often. Those who knew and understood Justin, will miss their deep and thoughtful conversations, his beautiful and consoling voice, his infectious laughter, the rhythmic music of his soul and his profound ability to think and dream. He had a deep love for his family and friends, to whom he was absolutely loyal. He was a wonderful son and his mother’s pride and joy. No boy could be more loved by his best friend and brother and two adoring sisters. He will be missed.

He is survived by his mother, Amber Carter, three siblings: Jordan William Carter, Kaitlyn Dixie Carter and Karlie Brook Carter, all of Annabella; his grandparents: Kendell Rex and C. Joy Bingham of Salina; Charles Terry Carter, Dixie and Ted Yowell, all of Richfield; great-grandparents: J. Russon and Vera “June” Holbrook of Burley, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his father, Warren James Carter and a brother, Taylor Kendell Carter.
