Virginia Gubler - 7/19/2010

Class of 1959

Hurricane, Utah–Virginia Beatrice Willis Gubler, age 69, returned to her loving Heavenly Father. She died from causes related to her paralyses on Monday the 19th of July with her faithful eternal companion at her side. She was born on the 26th of January 1941, to Gordon and Beatrice Pugh Willis in Salt Lake City, Utah. She Married George Ernest Gubler in the Salt Lake Temple, May 6th 1960.

Virginia was raised In Salt Lake City with her two Brothers and two Sisters. She Graduated from West High. She had a great love for ballet and for the performing arts. She taught ballet, dance and piano. A few years after Virginia and George married, they bought a ranch in Baker, Oregon where they raised their five children. In 1975, Virginia was in a serious car accident that left her paralyzed from the waist down. This slowed her down a bit but before long she was back doing the things that she loved. Virginia enjoyed working with the youth, doing church road shows, high school musicals and was an extended mother to many of the youth. She was always active in church callings and had great faith in her Savior Jesus Christ and in her ability to be healed. She especially loved the youth and had the ability to make friends everywhere. Virginia and George just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her husband George of Hurricane; her children Annette Lake of Santa Clara, Mike and Tanna Gubler of La Verkin, UT, Dawnette and John Negrette of Riverton, UT, Kristi Graves of Draper, UT and Lawna Toone of St. George; grandchildren, Melissa and Sky Vogt of Meridian, ID, Josh, Jake, Krystle, David, Danny, Ashley, Brooke, Braxton, Makena, Christian, Gracie, Emalee, Abrielle, Alaina and great-grandchildren, Annabel and Trey; her siblings, John and Thursa Willis of Concord, CA, Gail and Bent Anderson of Roy, UT, Donna and Steve Moyers of Litchfield Park, AZ and Ray and Sherry Willis of Toole, UT. She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon and Beatrice Willis and her Grandson Michael Gubler.
