Ronald "Ronnie" Jay Glover, age 33, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George Utah of heart failure. He was born April 3, 1977 in Kanab, Utah to Ronald Judd and Cindee Walker Glover, one of five children, three of whom survive him.Ronnie grew up in Kanab, Utah and graduated from Kanab High School. While in high school he was a member of the 1994 2A championship football team. He also participated in drama and was cast in many plays.
After high school he went on to serve an LDS mission in Anaheim, CA. After returning from his mission he earned an Associate's Degree from Snow College in Ephraim, UT. From there he went on to the University of Utah and Southern Utah University where he furthered his education in Political Science. It was always Ronnie's dream to become a lawyer. When he returned to Kanab he was able to do an internship at a local law firm and loved every minute of it. He also worked with the Kane County Travel Council and as a Customer Service Representative for a local bank.
Ronnie always had a creative mind and an extraordinary imagination. He was passionate about drawing and painting. He enjoyed reading, sculpting with clay, collecting unique swords, pocket watches and knives. He loved to play games with his family and always looked forward to poker night with the guys. His favorite thing to do was going to the movies with his mom.
Because of Ronnie's great faith he was able to overcome many physical handicaps, although he was unable to accomplish many of his dreams and goals. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all of the Doctors, Nurses and Medical Staff who have attended to Ronnie's needs throughout the years, as well as the many friends and family who have prayed often for his health. You have all helped Ronnie by allowing him to have a longer life with better quality than he would have had otherwise.
Survivors include his parents Ron and Cindee Glover of Kanab; siblings Shawn (Michelle) Glover of Cedar City, UT, Mandee (Jared) Black of Logan, UT, and Kerry (Hannah) Glover of Kanab; grandmothers Wanda J. Glover of Kanab and Virginia L. Walker of Page, AZ; five nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers James Glover and Riley Walker, and by a baby sister Deena Lee Glover.
