Ronald Woodrow Parry, age 69, passed away Saturday, March 27 at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City.He was the loved husband of Joan, father of Andy (Mari Kay) and Laurie-May, Grandpa “Get” to Brittanie (Lonnie) and Sarah and Great-Grandpa “Wonderful” to Emma and Dylan.
He was born June 10, 1940 in Cedar City to Woodrow and Thora Parry. After graduating from Cedar City High School in 1958 he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving six years as a medic.
He was married on June 15, 1963, while stationed at Ruislip Air Force Base in England. He lived for a number of years in New Zealand, but returned to live in Cedar City, and enjoy his beloved Cedar and Kanarra Mountains, places he referred to as “God’s Country.”
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, brothers Gerron (Terri), Lyle (Sharlene), Leland (Phyllis), and Harold (Sally), and sister, Sandra.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Mike and nephews Marshall and Chris. He will be greatly missed by all including many family and friends in New Zealand.
