Ronald Orton Chamberlain - 2/11/2010

Class of 1966

Beloved husband, father, cherished grandpa, son and brother, passed away on February 11, 2010, at his home in Lehi, Utah, with his loving wife, Diane, by his side.

Ron was born on May 9, 1948, to Llewellyn (Bud) and (Dru) Ella Orton Chamberlain, in Cedar City, Utah. Ron graduated from Cedar High School. At the age of 17 he joined the National Guard, where he served proudly for 38 years. During his years of service, he spent 17 of them as the Non Commissioned Officer In Charge of the Camp Williams Dining Facility, receiving numerous Individual awards and Unit Connely Awards. His remaining years of service were spent in Range Control as the Non Commissioned Office In Charge of Range Maintenance where he became acquainted with Chang Industries, he went to work for them upon retiring from the Guard.

Ron enjoyed time at the family cabin, hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling and spending time with his many friends. He loved his grandchildren, he was the best grandpa.

Ron married Melinda Morris in April, 1968, they were later divorced. Ron married Diane Knudsen in September, 1979, they enjoyed 30 years together.

Ron is survived by his wife, Diane; children Cris (Allie) Chamberlain, Washington, UT., Dawn (Troy) Topham, Cedar City, Dustin (Linda) Wheeler, Fort Polk, LA; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews; his mother, Dru Chamberlain and sister, Anngie (Howard) Christiansen. He is preceded in death by his father, Bud Chamberlain and sisters Vanda Chamberlain and Marsha Bulloch and grandson Carson Jay Wheeler..
