Christopher Martin Wood - 11/20/2005

Class of 1977

CARLIN, Nev. - Beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Christopher Martin Wood, passed away in Carlin, Nevada on November 20, 2005.

Chris was born January 30, 1959 to Blaine and Wanda Wood in Cedar City, Utah. He graduated from Cedar High School and served in the 222nd Field Artillery of the Utah National Guard.

A talented driller, Chris worked in various areas of the country and at Newmont Gold Mine in Carlin, NV for the past several years.

Chris married the love of his life, Melody Larson, on November 5, 1988 in Basin, MT. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed many happy hours hunting, fishing and gathering wood. He learned woodworking and did many beautiful projects in their yard. Chris and Melody spent fun times on "Spot" his (member of the family) Harley Davidson motorcycle. A most treasured memory was when he and Melody recently took son Codi sturgeon fishing on the Columbia River.

Chris loved all of his family unconditionally and they loved him. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tease.

Chris is survived by his loving wife, Melody, beloved son William Codi Wood, currently serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in Honolulu, HI, mother Wanda Wood, sister Pamela (Boyd) Redington, brother Robert Courtney (Phyllis) Wood, two nephews, Kirk Allen (Dede) Orton, Kevin (Becky) Orton, one niece, Camille (Charles) Woolsey, brother-in-law Tom Larson and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his loving father, Blaine Wood.

Many people knew and loved Chris and will miss him. "We love you Chris. Till we meet again." Your family.
