Trina Jo Taylor Lowry, left her earthly bonds on Saturday, March 31st due to injuries she sustained in an automobile accident on I-15 near Fillmore, Utah. Trina was born in Cedar City on October 12, 1968 to Bruce Ren Taylor and Sandra Strong Taylor. She lived her entire life in Cedar City and Enoch. She graduated from Cedar High School in 1986 and attended SUSC (now SUU). She married Dallas Lowry on July 10, 1993 and they had three beautiful children, K'Loni Lynn, Toni Jo and Brayden Ren Lowry. Trina spent her entire life teaching children. She has taught Physical Education in the Iron County School District for 15 years and taught gymnastics at Southern Utah University for 14 years. Prior to teaching, she worked for the U.S. Forest Service. Her special skill and talent will be greatly missed in Cedar City. She loved sports and serious competition.
In high school, Trina competed in rodeo and was an avid horseman. She loved herding cows on the mountain with her Dad and spending time at the cabin. She played volleyball in high school and college. At the time of her death she was still a serious competitor in volleyball. She was an avid supporter of all of her families participation in their respective sports and activities. Trina's presence will be greatly missed at all of their sporting events. She was their biggest fan. Her unbelievable talent in gymnastics and sports will leave a huge void in the youth of Cedar City and Enoch.
Trina was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served many positions in her ward. She was a member of the Enoch 3rd Ward.
Trina was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Ren and Cleo Taylor of Cedar City and Hazel Strong of Castle Dale, Utah.
She is survived by her father, Bruce Taylor (Kathy Allen) and mother, Sandra (Sandy) Strong Taylor, sister Tiffany Taylor, her best friend and loving husband, Dallas and children, K'Loni Lynn 18, Toni Jo 16, Brayden Lowry 10, and step-son Remington Chase Lowry. Her family was her greatest joy. She leaves behind many wonderful friends and extended family members that will truly miss her.
