Joseph Kay Sandberg, 61, passed away on July 21, 2005 in Millford, Utah. He was born June 30, 1944 in Salt Lake City to Joseph Clarence Sandberg and Anna Marie Hermansen. He married Dianne Rogerson on Sept 4, 1964 in Parowan, Utah. They had two children, JoAnne and Jodi Kaye. He later married Carol Ann Martin Smith on February 7, 1972. They had a son, Joe Karl Sandberg.Joseph Kay Sandberg spent his early life on the Sandberg Ranch in John's Valley. He loved fishing, hunting, and taking care of animals. He worked as a surveyor for Sandberg Engineers, on construction of Cedar High School, and 18 plus years for the Union Pacific Railroad. He attended Cedar High School where he played the trumpet in the band. After graduating from high school he attended the University of Utah.
He is survived by his children JoAnne (Bryan) Symonette of Salt Lake City, Jodi Kaye (Justin) Starr,Joe Karl Sandberg and 6 grandchildren. Sisters,Marie S. Memmott, Ruth S. Webb and brothers James C. Sandberg (Marba) and Rex D. Sandberg (Grace). He is preceded in death by his parents, Avon S. Parry Kelley (sister), Merrill G. Memmott (brother in law), and Ralph Webb (brother in law).
