After recent tryouts, Grand County High School’s cheerleading squad for 2013-14 has been selected. Senior Britney Stephens will serve as the team’s captain, with fellow senior Kayeley Wells as co-captain.
Other seniors on next year’s squad are Samm Scovill, Malina Bohannon, Morgan Barlow, Brooke Sowell, Sarah Stalpes and Audrey Wuthrich.
Also on next year’s squad will be juniors Kaelyn Lammert and Mystica Delafuente, along with sophomores Lexi Melancon, Jordan Newton, Sophie Richardson, Karissa Martin and Rylee Flynn.
The junior varsity team will consist of Delafuente plus incoming freshmen: Hayley Harden, Indy Clark, and Kimiko Cordero. Clark will captain the JV squad.
The cheerleaders, who will again be coached by C.C. Stephens, were scheduled to attend a safety clinic in Richfield on May 3, to kick off their new year together as a team. Congratulations, and good luck to next year’s cheerleaders!
