"Legger"Jeffrey Kyle Stewart - 4/11/2011

Class of 2001

St. George/Panguitch, Utah - Jeffrey Kyle Stewart, age 27, slipped the mortal trials of this life to rest in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father April 11, 2011. Legger, as he was affectionately called, was born in Panguitch, Utah on July 3, 1983 to Kyle and Cindy Stewart. He weighed in at a whopping 3.7 pounds and thus began the physical trials that would test him the remainder of his short life. Following an accident at the age of two, Jeffrey sported a prosthetic leg. Jeffrey and that leg leave a legacy of courage, strength, stubbornness and a sense of humor. Everyone that knows Jeffrey will have a Legger story to tell. Jeffrey had a huge, compassionate heart, with a sincere concern for those around him. He had a stubborn streak a mile wide and always had to have the last word. His family lovingly referred to him as a “dog on a bone”. He was fiercely loyal to his family, and loved his nieces and nephews. They were his babies, too. Jeffrey will be deeply missed, leaving a void that nothing will fill. But the comfort of knowing Jeffrey is no longer suffering, his body is whole and he is pain free is a great solace. Jeffrey, we can’t wait to see you again; get things ready for the rest of us. He is survived by his parents, Kyle and Cindy Stewart, brothers: James (Haley) and Winston, Nick (Shenna), Peyton and Parker, Luke (Elkee) Mackenlee, Ransom and Bently, Ford (Chelsea), Gaige and Bridger, sister Stacee (Justin) Partridge, Shad and Kyzlee. Grandparents Jim and Sybil Taylor and Al and Carol Stewart, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also, Jeffrey’s two dogs, Forrest and Stella. They were his constant companions who he loved dearly. Graveside services will be held at the Panguitch City Cemetery on Saturday, April 16, at 1:00 p.m. All family and friends are welcome. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221. Please visit our website at www.metcalfmortuary.com for condolences, complete obituary and funeral listings.
