Flagstaff's girls made some defensive adjustments after a 13-13 first quarter against Mingus and rode its defense to a 63-32 win.
Head coach Tyrone Johnson said the Eagles press wasn't working in the first quarter, so after a few changes Flagstaff was able to keep The Marauders in check.
"We talked about the defense, getting to our rotations and getting the right angles, and it worked," Johnson said.
Rancita David led Flagstaff with 14 points while Mariah Hartin added 10 and both Savannah Bix and Semaj Blanton scored eight each.
